here i go, working on my final project for 2-D Design. it's a collage project and i'm so excited over this i may end up neglecting the rest of my projects. a no-no, but meh.

my idea is working with Hades & Persephone, from Greek mythology. if you don't know who they are, then shame on you! overlooking the fact that Persephone is indeed Hades' niece (i suppose you need to keep it in the family when you're all gods..), i love these two to death. they're like my favorite pair in all the mythology i know of, even Izanami and Izanagi.

i'm already bugging Chien over animal skull photos and i'm trying to pick Draco's brain for more info or ideas. i've got a (messed up) list of things already in my sketchbook.

pomegranate seeds
pressed flowers
dark
lizard
acrylic - drying retarder
encaustic?
skull - some kind of deer
on masonite/particle board
obituaries? - makes up skull
start w/ dark wash - purple payne's grey black
oils w/ japan dryer

IT MAKES SENSE TO ME. shuddup.

so! off to Michaels and A.C. Moore in search of pressed flowers, cuz i'm just too damn lazy to do it myself. i ought to get off here and go prowl the library for more myth books. and read up on japan dryer and other paint and binding materials. mod podge?
